Defrost milk by placing it overnight or ten hours in the refrigerator, or under lukewarm running water by noting that the top of the container is away from the water, or in a bowl of lukewarm water with same level of the milk.
Never defrost milk in a microwave.
The Microwave destroys nutrients and creates hot spots, which can burn a baby’s mouth.
Use milk within 24 hours of defrosting in the refrigerator (from when it is completely defrosted, not when you took it out of the freezer).
Use defrosted milk within two hours of reaching room temperature or heating.
